First Presbyterian Church of Lafayette

A Place to Experience, Explore, and Express the Love of God

Come and grow with us…

Spiritual formation is an ongoing part of a life of faith. Since we are a smaller community of believers, we take a flexible and collaborative approach to faith development.

This begins in our nursery, which is staffed by paid and volunteer members trained to provide a safe and loving environment for your infant or toddler. Babies and toddlers are also welcome in worship. Coos and giggles are the sweetest "Amen!" and we believe parents know their own children's needs better than anyone.

Children 2nd grade and under have a special time in worship, and then they are invited to join one of our Children's ministry leaders for a time of Bible exploration and discovery.

Children and Youth 3rd grade and older remain in worship with their families, and then are welcome to join in our midweek fellowship for Bible study, service, and fellowship opportunities. Our midweek fellowship will start in September at a time TBA.

Adults enjoy seasonal studies during Advent, Lent, and other times of the year. There is also a women's Bible study on Mondays at 1pm.

Spiritual formation also takes place in our common life together. Every month, usually on the second Sunday, we gather for an "Express Lunch." This is a time to celebrate ways that we can express the love of God through outreach and service opportunities. Likewise, once a month we gather after worship for "Lunch Bunch" at local restaurants to extend our time of worship and fellowship.
